Go FRESH for Less....-
Eating fresh isn't hard to do on a budget. I used to think it was, but it's really not. Grocery stores and super Wal-Mart have these fabulous things called SALES! So if romaine lettuce and grapefruit are on sale one week, that is what I stock up on (of course, you only want to stock as much as you can use before it goes bad.)

The next week it may be pineapple and baby carrots. "Eehhhh, what's up doc?"
-
Shop smart and eat what is on sale. Cantaloupe and green pepper? If those are the great buys of the week, incorporate these foods into your menu.

Choose fresh as opposed to processed. You'll have more energy and your body will thank you for choosing grapes over those greasy potato chips!

Another way to find cheap produce (especially if you enjoy variety) is going to Asian markets. We're lucky to have one very close to our house and they consistently have better deals on fruits and vegetables...and you can always find something new to try. :)
